The Madrid Temple Facts About the Temple ![]() Temple Square - April 2000 The temple block in downtown Madrid is the largest in Europe and the third largest in the church. Next to the temple is a Stake Center, Visitor's Center and Missionary Training Center. The temple is located in the Madrid neighborhood of Moratalaz. The Church purchased the land from the City of Madrid for $7 million dollars. The completed project, including all construction, cost $50 million dollars. There is a sculpture in the temple garden of a family. The five real-size figures (two parents, two children and a grandfather) are looking towards the temple. The temple district includes 85,000 members in Spain, Portugal and the French Stake of Bordeaux. Temple Block Size: 12,846 square meters, which includes the following structures:
